PREFACE
We want to welcome kids to Camp with energy and excitement! The object of the game is to be the last one standing. Once all announcements are done we will have campers spreading out and doing actions in order to survive.
INSTRUCTIONS
Have everyone in the morning circle ready and listening to instructions. Explain to them that you want to start the day with some friendly competition and explain each of the 4 actions to them.
1 - Bacon - The campers will drop to the ground on the back and “sizzle” like Bacon.
2 - Hoop Partners - 2 campers need to interlock arms.
3 - Ring-Around-The-Roses - 3 campers will hold hands and sing around singing “Ring Around the Roses”
4 - Row-Row-Row Your Boat - 4 camper will sit “criss-cross apple-sauce” in a straight line (one behind the other) signing “row-row-row your boat”
The Camp manager will be calling out number from #1-#4 while the campers are jogging around the field randomly. The slowest camper(s) to perform the act will be out.
Last one standing wins.
Variation: Make up different actions for the numbers
TEACHING TIPS
Encourage campers to move around and not just stick near their friends
Go over numbers/actions by asking for hand-raised answered from campers
