STORYLINE
Today we are playing Stagecoach Gallop. In this game, cowboys are riding through the open plains on their stagecoaches, looking for gold coins (fuzzy balls). Your goal is to gallop through the open plains to recover as many gold coins as possible.
INSTRUCTIONS
I will divide the class into teams of two. Each pair will begin in the open plain.
I will select one of you to be the horse and the other to be the cowboy.
The horse will put the center of the reins (jump rope) around their waist. Their job is to pull the stagecoach while galloping.
The cowboy will hold on to the reins, at the handles, and be responsible for collecting the gold coins.
When I say, “GO!” the cowboys and their horses will travel across the open plains to retrieve gold coins and bring them back to their stagecoach.
Cowboys can only grab one gold coin at a time. Horses cannot pick up coins.
At the beginning of each round, switch roles with your partner.
