STORYLINE
Today we are playing Height Line Up Challenge. Your goal is to work together with your teammates to rearrange yourselves by height faster than your opponents.
INSTRUCTIONS
I will divide the class into two teams of mixed groups.
Before the game begins, stand shoulder-to-shoulder next to each other along the line.
When I say, “GO!” your job is to rearrange yourselves according to the assigned task.
You must complete the challenge as quickly as possible.
We will begin a new game once one group is in complete height order.
If you are not in height order by even one person, you will be asked to keep going until you are in line.
Game 1: Switch the tall and short side of the line half way through the game.
Game 3: Have students rearrange themselves (birthday order, alphabetically, reverse standing order).
Variation: Consider having students perform a task without speaking and/or assigning only one speaker.
