STORYLINE
Today we are playing Red Light, Green Light. In this game, we are sports cars driving on the road. Your goal is to watch and listen to the traffic light as you drive with your soccer ball.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Before the game begins, you must line up shoulder-to-shoulder on the baseline. I will pass out a soccer ball.
- When I say, “Green light!” begin dribbling forward.
- When I say, “Red light!” stop your ball and freeze in place.
Game 1: Depending on class skill, play without soccer balls.
Game 2: Add a “yellow light” for children to toe tap on their ball.
Variation: Coach can hold up color dots to indicate when the traffic light changes color.

- Approach: Remind parents to help their children stop their soccer balls.
