All Campers
PREFACE
We want to welcome kids to Camp with energy and excitement! The object of the game is to get them to work together and make a High-Energy Tunnel. Once all announcements are done we will have a campers form a tunnel with their hands down the length of the field and have each group run through it.
INSTRUCTIONS
Have everyone in the morning circle ready and listening to instructions. Explain to them that you want to start the day with some energy and explain what the High-Energy Tunnel is.
The Camp manager is leading the campers to form a tunnel.
The campers will start running through group by group: first the Bumblebees will run through and rejoin the tunnel. Then the Pink Panthers, Tiger Team, etc.
Try to do it as fast as possible without breaking the Tunnel.
Variation: Have the campers arrange the tunnel from shortest to tallest.
Variation: Make the Tunnel windy or turn
TEACHING TIPS
Have each group form a section of the tunnel for easy division.
Remind campers to be careful of the height difference between groups. Don’t barrel over Bumblebees going through their tunnel.
Remind everyone to cheer the runners as they go through!
