PREFACE
We want to welcome kids to Camp with energy and excitement after morning announcements! The object of the game is to get them to work together and make a Wave.
INSTRUCTIONS
Have everyone in the morning circle ready and listening instructions. Explain to them that you want to start the day with some teamwork and explain what a “wave” is
The Camp manager is leading the wave. Feel free to raise energy however you’d like.
The campers will be as sitting in a circle and one-by-one will start a domino effect with a wave-motion
Try to get the wave all the way around without messing up!
Variation: Make different shapes: a square, a triangle, a “wave”
Variation: Reverse the wave once you reach the end
Variation: Have 2 teams and have them “race” their waves
TEACHING TIPS
Have each group go by themselves first to practice: Bumblebees, Tigers, Cobalts, etc.
