Then say, "now we're going to be airplanes!" Collect all of the steering wheels.

Is it soft or hard/big or small?
Parents, help your child walk forward when I say, “Green light!” (hold up green dot).

INSTRUCTIONS
Before the game begins, I will pass out a treasure to everyone.
When you get your treasure, can you tell your parent:
What color it is.
If it is big or small.
What shape it is.
Now, let’s follow along with me:
Can you hold your treasure up high/low?
Hold it to the side using one hand? Now, hold it to the other side?
Can you balance your treasure on your head?
Can you touch your treasure to your toes/knees/belly/shoulders?
Raise your treasure in the air if it is soft/hard.
Can someone tell me what color their treasure is?
Put your treasure on your head if it is square/round.
Now, let’s all take our treasure to the middle of the circle. I will empty the rest of the treasure bag
Let’s try to find a piece of treasure that is yellow/red/blue/ round/fuzzy/soft/hard/etc.
Now, this time, I have laid out treasure chests (hula-hoops).
Let’s organize the treasure by color. Can we put all the red treasure in the red hula-hoop and etc?

STORYLINE
For today’s Parachute Time, we will be playing Rainbow. In this game, we will be practicing our colors as we find the different colors on top of the parachute.
INSTRUCTIONS
Before the game begins, find a seated spot around the parachute.
Let’s listen very carefully to the directions that I give:
Can we shake all the wrinkles out of the parachute?
Now, let’s shake, shake, shake and freeze (repeat 3-5xs).
Can we shake the parachute side-to-side?
Let’s shake the parachute down low/up high.
This time, I will call out 1-2 children to go on top (for about 30-seconds) while the rest of us shake the parachute.
While on top of the parachute, crawl or walk to the different colors I call out.
TEACHING TIPS
Approach: Encourage parents to help their children remain seated while playing with the parachute. This will help prevent children from going underneath or on top of the parachute.
Approach: Softly shake the parachute for children who are hesitant or overwhelmed by being on top of the parachute.

If the cave is not high enough, make the cave again.
Once under the parachute, choose a few songs to sing based on how much time you have left:
